And just in case you’re looking for more workout ideas, here are links to the top workout posts from the past two years as well:
Also, much like I did in my Top Recipes of 2015 post, I’d like to ask you guys to share your requests for the type of workouts you’d like to see pop up on PBF in 2016. Are treadmill workouts your favorite? Do you love at home circuits? Elliptical workouts or strength training supersets? Please let me know in the comments section of this post!
Top Workouts of 2015
I clearly need to share more roundups that include a bunch of workouts in one place because three of the top 10 most popular workout posts from 2015 featured a bunch of workouts in one place! I love this type of a post since it makes it really easy to go back and find workouts in one spot and will definitely share more workout roundups in 2016.
I posted this roundup of at home workouts in 2012 and apparently workouts you can do in the comfort of your living room are popular with you guys because it was the second most popular workout-related blog post in 2015. This post features some heinous workout graphics from back when I used to make my workout images in Excel and Microsoft Paint, but the workouts are still great ones that will challenge your body.
I shared this blog post in February last year and it included four different 30-minute workouts. If you only have 30 minutes to sweat, be sure to check it our for a treadmill, total body, elliptical and at home circuit workout.
This total body workout only takes 32 minutes to complete and incorporates bursts of cardio among challenging strength exercises.
This is one of my personal favorite workouts that I shared on the blog last year. I love workouts that do not repeat exercises on days when I want to fly through a workout and challenge myself the entire time. You pick and choose the order of the exercises in this circuit which gives it a bit of a customized feel. I have this one saved on my phone and still reference it regularly!
I initially created this workout to give me a quiet workout I could do at home during Chase’s naptime, but it’s also a great one to keep on hand when you’re traveling and want to workout in your hotel room (no equipment is needed) or if you want to workout in your apartment in the early morning without disturbing neighbors.
Treadmill walking workouts always prove popular and this roundup post features a handful of surprisingly challenging ones! Please forgive the old school graphics, but don’t let them deter you from giving these workouts a try! They’ll make ya sweat, that’s for sure!
Boot camp workouts are my favorite and this one keeps things moving fast since you only spend 45 seconds on each exercise before moving onto the next. You can also incorporate the optional 30 second sprints for an extra challenge!
This treadmill interval workout from 2013 is consistently popular thanks to Pinterest. Thirty minutes of intervals will keep you sweating and your body guessing as you cover close to three miles.
This is a bodyweight workout that requires no equipment, so it’s a great travel or at home workout to try! It will leave your glutes and quads burnin’!

I absolutely loved the quiet nap time workout even though I didn’t need it to be quiet. I did it in my driveway all summer long and added a run up and down my driveway between each exercise (so fun and sweaty!). So more equipment-less/body weight workouts would be awesome!

You got it! Bodyweight workouts are some of my favs!
Jennifer Lastinger says
Happy New Year Julie!
Linz @ Itz Linz says
The at home workouts are my favorite! That’s mostly all I have time for
Daisy @ Fit Wanderlust Runner says
I just got a treadmill and a weight set from Costco so any workouts that incorporates those two things would be great. Even if just a killer leg workout with dumbbells would be great.
Julie @ Running in a Skirt says
I love your home workouts! They are right up my alley. I can’t believe it’s 2016!!
Hope you are having a great week.
Heather @ Polyglot Jot says
Maybe a workout/stretching routine that you love on rest days. I’m always looking for new stretches for when I’m sore or trying to unwind.
Katy H says
I would love to see more treadmill workouts and also maybe some circuit workouts using general gym equipment (this is a selfish request since that would most benefit my current workout schedule!). I do love your at home workouts needing minimal equipment those and have used many of them in the past!
Kelli @ Hungry Hobby says
I always love that you share workouts you actually do! Keep up what your doing and I’ll be sure to keep trying them and sharing them with my clients! Happy New Year!
Ellen @ My Uncommon Everyday says
I love no-equipment-necessary workouts! I often end up working out before my school’s gym is open, so it’s nice to have options to mix it up in my dorm 🙂
Heidi says
I would love to see some HIIT workouts that require minimal equipment or some cardio workouts that can be done at home with no equipment. I do most of my workouts at home and run outside but love to have some go to cardio workouts that I can do in my basement to change things up a bit.
Amanda says
I loooove working out at home! I’m currently doing PiYo, and my favorite one is strength intervals. It’s quick HIIT- that’s what I like the most!
Gaby @ Heels to Sneakers says
I would love to see more treadmill workouts! I am trying to get back to running after an injury and love your interval workouts. Happy New Year!
Jessica @ Semi-Sweet Tooth says
Great workouts! And being a new follower, I love seeing some older workouts that I can now try out in my own time. Such fun!
I’d say my favorite workouts (thus, the ones I create and post most, too, ha) include two pieces:
1) Limited or no equipment (at home workouts)
2) Take me 40 minutes or less because I workout over lunch
Can’t wait to see what workouts pop up in the near future!
xo, Jessica

I love the workout round-ups! Ones that I particularly like are the HIIT and circuit workouts.

I want to thank you so much for posting your workouts! I’ve been incorporating them into my routine for a few months now and absolutely love them! I only work out at home (no gym membership) so most of your workouts are perfect for that. I especially love your leg workouts (fast-paced + sweaty leg, explosive leg), your functional workouts and your total body workouts (spooky circuit, weekend circuit, holiday circuit, hotel room workout, saturday morning circuit, quick and sweaty 10 minute circuit, jumping jack circuit). Would love to see more leg workouts as well as arm workouts (ala your shoulder shredder which is killer!).
Thanks again!
Steph says
Your circuit workouts are great (and the excel graphics aren’t as bad as you think!!)! I love the at-home workouts and the YouTube workout posts since they can be done anywhere, which is great as someone who spends much of the weekdays commuting/at work with less than stellar motivation to go to the gym!

I know a lot of people are looking for ‘quick’ workouts but my workout time in the morning is my time and I like to spend it doing a good, solid workout. I have an hour to get in a total body workout but it’s hard to find ones that are total body and aren’t ‘quick’ and I don’t always feel like I get a good workout from the quick ones.
Annette@FitnessPerks says
When I’m not teaching group fitness classes I love at-home super sweaty/super quick workouts that are mostly body weight/boot camp!
Heather @ Life In Leggings says
There’s a ton of great workouts here! As much as I love new workouts for the gym, I have to say that I turn to blogs mostly for at-home workouts. Sometimes that’s all I have time for when I’m on the go!
Emelie says
I would really like a good ass workout. It’s the one part of my body that I would really like to improve right now. Butt/thigh
Julie says
Quick and easy workouts to do in my living room in the mornings before work and also while trying to watch my 5 month old son!! Also please keep posting the pictures of how you do each workout! I LOVED when you started doing that since most of the time I have never heard of it! ?
Abby says
I’d love some more walking treadmill workouts that incorporate both incline and walking speed. I can’t run due to a history of injury, but I love the treadmill and am always looking for ways to mix things up.
Shawna says
I love your treadmill workouts! I would really like to have more of these. Interval ones and 30-60 min. Ones. Thank you!!
Anastasia says
Instead of workout posts maybe you can post something about dynamic stretches before a full-body workout? I never stretch before a workout because I don’t know what to do – it would be great to hear some tips on how to warm up my muscles!
Melissa @ Melly NYC says
Love all of these! Thanks for sharing Julie!
Mia says
Loved this! Thank you! Would be great to see a few more at home little/basic equipment workouts!
If anybody could check out my blog that would be super amazing:
