Good morning! Hopefully your Tuesday is shaping up nicely so far!
Total Body Workout
My day began with a total body workout that Iām excited to share with you guys today.
I warmed up for 10 minutes before completing the following workout that hit all of my major muscle groups.
Links to video demos of some of the exercises:
This is another workout that can easily be done at home as long as you have a set of dumbbells or a resistance band. (Simply do regular burpees in place of the bosu burpees if you donāt have a bosu ball.)
More workouts that require minimal equipment can be found here: At Home Workouts
Breakfast
Breakfast this morning began with a hot mug of coffee and concluded with a protein pancake and a banana.
I followed my egg white and oatmeal protein pancake recipe, but use whole eggs and added some chia seeds to the mix as well.
Not too shabby.
Now itās time to do that work thang!
Question of the Morning
- Do you ever work out at home?
- What are some of your favorite at home workouts?
Holly @ EatGreatBEGreat says
Love this workout! I definitely workout at home, especially since we’re getting so much snow lately and I can’t get to my Zumba class. At home workout DVDs and workouts like this are my best friend these days! š
Alison @ Daily Moves and Grooves says
Ooo that looks like such a fun and effective workout! I love workouts that are circuit-style with a bunch of different exercises to keep things interesting.
I really have to try your egg white oatmeal pancake one day. You’re always having it so it must be really good!
Catherine says
I decided to try her pancake after I saw how often she made it. Try it out … you will not be disappointed!! It’s become one of my staple breakfasts now š
Julie says
So happy you liked it!
Kim@hungryhealthygirl says
This workout looks like a toughie! Can’t wait to give it a try!
Julie says
Hope you like it!!
Samantha @ Anatomy of My World says
I’m too broke to get a gym membership right now so I’ve been either running, working out at home with DVDs or using my school’s free gym!
Erin @ The Almond Eater says
Love this! I’m a big fan of workouts that can be done at home and at the gym!
Linz @ Itz Linz says
Plank walks! Love em!
The Zen Kat says
Thanks for sharing your workout. I don’t often work out at home, but every once in a while, I do. Definitely giving this routine a try!
Paige @ Your Trainer Paige says
I don’t think I’ve ever added a full squat before a push press – only push presses or squat and presses – I bet this gets the heart rate doubly up!
I have been working out at home quite a bit lately, actually. I wish I had more space, but I get ‘er done š
Katie @ Peace Love & Oats says
Sometimes I’ll do workouts at home, but I feel so much more accomplished when I do them at the gym – partially because I’m job hunting and spend a LOT of time at home. It’s nice to get out!
Julie says
Good luck on the job hunt, Katie!
Catherine says
I strictly workout at home and like to create my own circuit style workouts, many of the workouts you share, Nike or Skimble apps or I use fitnessglo videos or a DVD.
Chelsea @ A Fit LittleOne says
All my workouts are at home because luckily we have gym equipment. But besides doing weight lifting, I love doing Pilates workouts at home, a little more fun than in class because I get pick what I do :).
Linda @ Running4two says
This workout looks awesome! I usually only workout at home when I’m snowed in…which seems to be happenting too much lately. Thanks for this workout, I will probably have to use it by the end of the week!
sara says
Do you eat the pancake plain?
Ali says
I’m leaving for the gym soon and I needed a workout, so thank you!
Ashley @ My Food N Fitness Diaries says
I haven’t been working out at home as much as I used to because I’ve been really enjoying group fitness classes at the gym, especially during the winter months. It gets me out of the house and challenges me! However, it’s always nice to have a few at-home workouts on file in case of a snow day or Hunter is sick! This looks like a good one – thanks!
Jackie says
Love. The workout!
Miranda @ Lovely Wife Lovely Life says
Oh Julie. You went from doing NTC workouts to making up your OWN NTC workouts š Haha!
Shel@PeachyPalate says
Most the NTC ones can be adapted for home; so handy to be timed and have someone telling you what to do!
Sarah @ Sweet Miles says
Working out at home is tough! I always feel like all my jumping and bouncing around is going to shake picture frames off the shelves! This workout looks so great though!
Jamie @ Dishing Out Health says
Those video demos are so helpful!
Laura @ RunningJunkie says
I don’t do weight training too often at home. I find that I’m much more motivated when I’m at the gym. I have been using the Nike Training Club App at home, and sometimes I’ll do a Jillian Michaels video to switch things up.
Tiff @ Love Sweat & Beers says
That looks like the sort of workout I’ve been doing lately. Not enough time for much else! š
Katie @ Talk Less, Say More says
Looks like a great workout! I’m not one for working out at home. I do it once and awhile but I work from home so it’s always nice to have an excuse to leave the house. š
Laura@SneakersandSpatulas says
I normally run or bike outside for exercise but when I’m in the mood for an indoor workout, I use the NTC app. I like having it tell me what to do vs. making it up myself. I also like doing 20-30 mins of yoga indoors by myself using some routines I have found in magazines. I have a hard time making up what to do next.
Carrie says
98% of my workouts are done at the gym, but yesterday morning my bed seemed extra comfy. I went back and forth on whether to get up and go or not, and guess what I ended up doing? Your “At-Home” Circuit in my basement! 30 minutes and I was done – heart was racing, sweat was dripping, and endorphins were pumping! Thank you!
Laura @ The Neuffers says
Thanks for sharing that workout, Julie! I pinned it for future reference š I just started a strength training routine to improve my running, and will try this one at home on days I can’t make it to pump class!
Livi says
I love at home workouts for cold/busy mornings when I can’t get out or don’t want to venture out!!
Court Star @ StarSystemz Fitness says
Wow this workout looks incredible, can not wait to try it out <3 Thank you for sharing! I also just posted a workout š
Jill says
I work from home and I work out over my lunch so I always work out at home. I have a treadmill which gets tons of use or I run outside if the weather is nice. Which it definitely isn’t right now in Iowa š I’ve been adding in a lot of Nike Training Club workouts ever since I discovered the app after you first mentioned it on here. Love it!!
Brynn says
I was planning on doing your 1000 rep workout this morning but tried this one instead. I loved it! I had never done a circuit workout before reading about them on your blog a couple years ago and now I’m hooked! They really make strength training less intimidating and more fun.
LG says
Julie! I have made this pancake many times since you posted it. Thank you!! But…I always use some syrup…it’s too dry/not sweet without. Do you put anything on yours or just go for it without?
Caity @ Moi Contre La Vie says
Great workout – Inlove full body circuits that keep you engaged and give you a killer burn. Can’t wait to try this!!
Florence says
This looks so exhausting in a good way! If I hadn’t already gone to the gym (a boring 30 minute treadmill workout) I’d have to give it a try…tomorrow definitely!
Dana @ Conscious Kitchen Blog says
Love this! Sounds like a fun and challenging workout. I’ve been transitioning to morning workouts so I’ve been using some at home workouts to help ease me into it. I’ve found NTC is easily adaptable to be done at home too!
Karen says
I do workout at home. I bought some weights, resistance bands and ankle weights and work out right in my living room. Here are some of the exercises i do with pictures!

Lee @ tri*inspired*life says
I have not had a gym membership in several years. Most of my workouts are either swim, bike or run. I go to an indoor city pool for my swim and for biking, I am either on the road or on my bike trainer at home. For my runs, I am either outside or on the treadmill we have at home (we got an awesome deal in order to be able to purchase one for home). I also love the NTC workouts for cross training or other DVDs I have such as P90X. There are so many options out there!!
Elizabeth @ Positive Change says
I workout a lot at home. I love P90X videos and doing the workouts I see on blogs and pinterest. I have a pretty good collection of weights and bands so I love having my own space to do my own thing!
Ashlee O. says
We’ve taken a break from the gym while we adjust to a new, pre-baby budget, so my workouts are exclusively at home. I took up running (something I never thought would happen) and that is my favorite as it is hard for me to motivate myself through multiple sets of home exercises. For home, I tend to use resistance bands, weights and jump rope, but I get my best workouts when I follow videos, my favorites being Gillian Michaels and some of the Yoga Booty Ballet dvds (‘hip hop abs’ and ‘cardio cabaret’ being the most fun)!
Ashley @ Saving Money in your Twenties says
I love working out at home! I like following the workout plans from Tone it Up- they have so many videos that can be done at home!
Kelly @ Kelly Runs For Food says
Awesome workout! I have a hard time motivating myself to work out at home. Between the pets trying to “help” me and seeing the couch in front of me, I never work out as hard at home.
Megan @ The Skinny-Life says
Love this workout routine! I’m not a person who works out at home unless you count going for a run. If I’m not running, I go to the gym. It’s more motivating for me to be at the gym. I like to show off a little too! I’m small, but I’m mighty strong when it comes to lifting weights! š
Becky@TheSavedRunner says
Looks like such a great workout! I am constantly on the lookout for new workouts to do at home, so I am definitely pinning this!
Annette@FitnessPerks says
I love total body workouts–it makes me feel so smashed in a good way!! š
Kim says
I have been working out a fair amount this winter due to weather…have been loving fitnessblender.com workouts…there are tons to choose from so you can really mix it up!
Annie @ Annie Get Your Run says
I hardly ever workout at home (I try to be outdoors as much as possible) but with the current crappy weather in PA, I need to figure something out. I’m considering buying a rower that folds up. I live on the top floor in a tiny apartment, so anything that requires jumping or too much space is out of the question…haha.
Ashley @ Brocblog says
I work out in my living room after shorter runs and I only have a mat and 4 lb weights so I do a lot of bodyweight exercises and occasional throw in a bit of extra weight because it’s there.
Brittney @ Sweets 'N' Greens says
I love at home workouts! I usually do the Nike Training App ones, or Tone It Up videos. Both of those always guarantee a good workout.
Ally @ The Zebra Runner says
This looks like so much fun! I am definitely trying this one out soon!
Abi@AbsofSteel says
I workout at home a couple times a week, I used to do it almost everyday before I started running more regularly. I usually do a fun circuit or a yoga video, I used to do a lot of Jillian Michaels videos back in the day.
Coty and Mariah@quirksandtwists says
These look amazing! Love coming across a new granola bar recipe!
