To be totally honest, once the temperature dips below 50 degrees it’s all the same to me. It’s COLD.
Fortunately I had Ryan’s company on my morning walk with Sadie to take my mind off the frigid wind. “I’ve got my love to keep me warm!”
As we walked we laughed at our odd ensembles.
Ryan: Tank top + Hoodie + Knee-length trench coat + Shorts (The trench coat with shorts combo was on point!)
Me: Tank top + Hoodie + Fleece jacket + Pea coat + Yoga pants + Scarf
Our outer-layer jackets were purely “business” but our under-layers were scrubby gym clothes. It was a H-O-T look. US Weekly “Worst Dressed” list, here we coooome.
At least I had a hot cup of coffee to enjoy to warm mah belly!
(Side note: Someone help me! I cannot, for the life of me, get the red light to turn off on my Canon S90 point and shoot camera. I love this camera and it costs as much as a new puppy, so I would love to figure out how to get the red light to knock it off and go away. I took my camera into a camera shop and they said there’s something majorly wrong with it and it would be more expensive to repair it than to just buy a new one. This is unacceptable. It must be fixed!)
Breakfast was nearly as hot as my coffee!
I topped a toasted Thomas’ everything bagel thin with roasted red pepper hummus and an egg white, pairing the bagelwich with two tangerines.
It was a goodie. 😀
Time to get crackin’ at the job! ‘Til lunchtime…

I have a Canon too, and the flash malfunctioned last year… even though I bought the camera AGES ago, and totally wasn’t under the warranty anymore, I called Canon’s customer support, which is awesome. If there’s something wrong with the camera due to its craftsmanship (not because you dropped it on the ground and stomped it to death), they’ll probably fix it for you for free.
<3 <3
wellllll…. remember that little water incident??? https://www.pbfingers.com/2010/10/03/how-to-fix-a-water-damaged-camera/
Could you possibly put a piece of electric tape over the red light? Albeit it may be a little tacky, it would solve the red face in photos issue. 🙂
i love a little tackiness! i’m totally doing this.
It’s flipping cold in Tampa too….I looked funny under my coat while walking my dog this morning. She was crazy and wanted to go on a walk.
I feel your fashion pain, I was shoveling in my snowboard coat, a cotton dress, sweatshirt, pj pants and boots the other day. No lie. I think my neighbors thought I feel off my rocker!
sounds pretty darn sexy to me!
i’ve got to get on the bagelwich train…they look so yummy! especially the hummus and egg combo 🙂
I can’t believe it’s so cold in Florida. It got way too cold so quick! It’s frigid where I am and it’s so windy!
So disappointed there were no pictures of this morning’s fashion! 😉
they would have broke my camera with their ugliness… not that my camera is exactly working well at the moment..
I’d call the camera’s customer service and see what they can do. And if the answer is nothing, I’d ask to speak to a manger then a manager’s manager and so on until I got it fixed for free.
Hey, when it’s cold out, you gotta do what you gotta do to stay warm! Even if that means looking like you got dressed in the dark! 😉 I hope you can fix your camera!
Sounds like some funny ensembles!
I feel the same way about the cold……..and its been in the 20-25 degree range all week!!!! brrrr
I’ve lost my fashion sense when it got below zero. Now, I only want to be warm, not freezing, no matter how I look :))
If it makes you feel any better, it’s about 15 degrees in Boston right now. Not that I plan on leaving my dorm room until I get this final paper done! Florida better warm up soon though; I’m coming there for winter break (to thaw out)!!
Congratulations on your Glamour post, Julie! Looks like you’re starting to really shine throughout the blogging world! 🙂
Ughhhh tech problems are the worst. I’m camera inept though, so sorry I can’t be much help!!
May be from the water damage. Is it with the flash only causing the spots? Have you tried a different memory card?
Hopefully it’s fixable. The only thing I’ve seen online is something about dust, try cleaning it the best you can.
no, sadly whenever the camera turns on, the red light turns on too. it’s on ALL the time. 🙁 i hope it’s fixable.
i would donate a kidney to live in florida right now. it was 14 degrees in northeastern PA this morning!
hahaha this reminds me of that cake song “short skirt/long jacket” (except in your hubby’s case its shorts) 😛
na na na na na na na na naaaaa na! love that song.
Haha, I wish you would have taken pictures. Especially of the trench/shorts combo!
Holy sparkly ring in the video 🙂 So pretty!!
It was so fun to see all you bloggers on Glamour.com!
I always wear hoodies and short-shorts. My legs stay much warmer then my arms do, so it actually feels good! haha
Not sure if this will be helpful– good luck!

Congrats on being featured on Glamour.com.
thank you!
Is it under a year old? If so, you should be able to have it fixed for free! Find the # for the company and give them a call. Good luck!
That’s the same thing with my ipod classic. It recently broke, but to send it in to get fixed, it would cost $200!
so sad about your camera! Maybe try to ask one of your techy- friends? Orrr, maybe the IT/computer guys (if you have any) at your workplace? Or maybe even the Geek squad at BestBuy? I’m not sure if they do other things besides computers, but it’s worth a shot! Goodluck!!
