And a little bit of this…
And a lot of this…
We also took the boys to see Puppy Pals Live at a local theatre which had all of us laughing out loud.
The show featured four adorable rescue pups and showcased their impressive and hilarious tricks. Not all kid-friendly shows are entertaining for adults but Ryan and I had just as much fun at this one as the boys, especially when we kept sneaking glances at the boys and watching them as they belly-laughed at the dogs “misbehaving” on stage.
If the show is coming your way and you have young kids who are dog lovers in your family, I think you’d love it!
As for this week, it will be a quick one for our family, as we’re heading to Florida on Thursday afternoon to spend some much-needed time with family. You better believe I’ve got one heck of big hug all queued up for my mom who is now feeling up for visitors and lots of love!
What else? Oh! This Saturday night lasagna.
At the risk of sounding like a broken record (which I realize I do), one small shift I’ve made in my effort to increase my protein intake in a way that doesn’t feel miserable (aka eating boatloads of chicken), is making little swaps for higher-protein foods that don’t impact the flavor of a dish. Like swapping out the ricotta in favor of cottage cheese in lasagna! My brother-in-law said his mom did this all throughout his childhood and when I’m telling you I couldn’t even tell the difference, I mean it. And BOOM, lots of extra protein!
And finally, I spent some time combing through Amazon’s Big Spring Sale and have some of the stand-out deals listed below. Amazon sent out a list of their deals ahead of time to creators so I was able to see a bunch and only pulled out the items I love and/or those that are discounted significantly — aka the items that are priced the lowest they’ve been all year. I hope this is helpful to anyone out there looking to do a little springtime shopping or even some early Easter basket prep for next month!
