My mind is all over the place today! When I got out of the shower, I realized I only shaved one leg. What the heck? That has never happened to me before!
I’m leaving for Portland tomorrow and still have to pack and finish a freelance piece, plus today is my sister’s birthday, so I guess I had a lot of things on my mind when I got off work. Since my flight to Oregon leaves out of the Jacksonville airport tomorrow morning, I am staying at parents’ place for the night since they live in Jacksonville. I better get packing!
I can’t remember whether or not I mentioned my sister’s promotion on the blog, but a few months ago, Leslie got a promotion at work and transferred to Jacksonville. She wanted to move to Jacksonville for quite a while (her boyfriend lives there), so she was thrilled when a position opened up within her company and she got the job. Since Leslie now also lives in Jacksonville, my parents, her boyfriend and I will be celebrating her birthday with her tonight at a local seafood restaurant.
Perfect timing!
Workout + Lunch
Work today went well. Lots o’ training! Before work, I took a boot camp class at the gym. Though today’s class was a bit easier than past boot camp classes, it was still a super sweaty class.
By the time I made it home after personal training, I was ready for food!
We had some pork leftover from dinner last night, so I sautéed it in a pan with half of a sliced onion and some olive oil.
Served with a sweet potato on the side.

Ahhh!! I LOOOOOVE Tuna!! My brother told me about him a few months ago and I think I made it a point to look at every single picture. He is the best!

I love Tuna!! Did you see where he lost his favorite toy in the park last week? If you weren’t following him then, you must scroll back, it was precious. He lost his favorite toy, so his owner posted a missing notice, then she got an email from someone who had found the toy, then she posted a video of Tuna, reunited with said toy. It was incredible!!

I tend to zone out when I shower so things like that happen to me all the time! I’ll forget if I shampooed, or get out without shaving, etc all too often. Have a great time and happy birthday to your sister!
Are you heading to Portland, Oregon or Maine? If you’re going to Oregon and looking for a restaurant recommendation I can’t recommend Bamboo Sushi highly enough (I blogged about it here: http://wp.me/p2MyWQ-h8). I was in Portland in March and ate an awesome dinner there, along with amazing brunches at The Screen Door and Pine State Biscuits. There are SO many amazing places to eat in that city but I know you love sushi so I thought I’d give it a shout out. Have a wonderful time!
I used to love the website “icanhascheezburger.com” but I don’t even know if it’s still around. It’s just a dumb-humor website with pictures of cats with funny blurbs typed on the picture or as captions. I could spend hours looking at them!
You HAVE to check out Voodoo Doughnuts while you’re in Portland. I was just there last weekend, and they are worth the wait (we waited 45 minutes). We were told if you order ahead 24 hours, you can just walk right in! Check out their website: voodoodoughnut.com. Memphis Mafia, Maple Bacon, and ODB were all fantastic (but, I really don’t think you can go wrong). And, I recommend the raised yeast over the cake. I also told Gina over @ fitnessista about them. Hope you have some time to check it out, as I know you are a doughnut lover!

You and your sister are gorgeous! Your sister and I almost have the same birthday. Mine is June 27 and I’ll be 21! When I first saw the picture of Tuna I thought it was Sadie being a goof. Sadie definitely is a lot cuter than Tuna is, but I’ll have to start following that account.

I’m guilty of shaving the same leg twice and totally skipping the other – it happens WAY too often, but that’s just part of taking a shower before having coffee, right? The funniest forgetful moment was when I showed up to work in full business attire wearing my brown fuzzy Ugg boots (that I wore to walk the dog when it’s cold) and didn’t realize it until I got into my cubicle.
Don’t feel bad about only shaving one leg — one time, I was looking all over for my contact cause I thought I dropped it — well…turns out it was already in my eye!!!! OMG…scary!!! 😉
