After working through the morning, around lunchtime Ryan and I took a breather and headed out to the dog park with Sadie.
She was ready to run!
The hot sun had her playing in the lake in no time. We’re hoping the million rounds of fetch we played with her leaping in and out of the water will make her sleep well tonight!
On our way home from the park, we swung by our friend’s t-shirt shop to pick up a bunch of empty boxes to use in our big move this week.
Now we just gotta fill ‘em up! I am seriously dreading moving. I’m thinking I may feign an injury to get out of it. Don’t tell Ryan.
Lunch
Lunch today was a two-parter.
Part one:
A blueberry smoothie made with:
- 1 c. frozen blueberries
- 1/2 c. Greek yogurt
- 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
- 3/4 c. almond milk
Part two (about an hour later):
Pulled pork wrap made with leftover pulled pork, lettuce and tomato.
Two parts = Twice the fun!
The rest of the afternoon will be spent boxing, boxing and boxing. I may have to terrorize Sadie a couple of times in the middle of packing stuff up just to maintain my sanity.

Meals with multiple parts are the best kind! My parents make fun of me for it all the time.
My dad will see me eating a small meal and be like.. Um, Savannah, is that all you’re going to eat? That isn’t enough!
My response is always. “dad, do you REALLY think this is all I plan on eating for breakfast/lunch/dinner?”
My cousin just got a dog named Sadie, and she looks so much like your Sadie! I thought this was so ironic. Gotta love Sadies 😉
peanutbutterfingers says

Your smoothies always look sooo delicious! Where do you get your protein powder?
peanutbutterfingers says
the protein powder in this smoothie is EAS vanilla pp from target. i usually use optimum nutrition’s all the whey brand protein powder that ryan buys (from bodybuilding.com, i believe).
Alyssa @ Life of bLyss says
welp, once again, I’m jealous of your cute sadie pictures in the grass. Chloe typically comes out as a big black blur. teach me your ways.

Brittany @ Healthy Slice says
Koda is sitting here at the vet and is very jealous of Sadie’s afternoon!!
peanutbutterfingers says
haha i told sadie not to get used to this treatment. it was a “special occasion” that she got to go to the park in the middle of a “school day.”
Annie says
i don’t think i should be allowed to read your blog at work. definitely LOLed and disrupted about 5 people when i saw that last picture of sadie, shaking it off. i died.
peanutbutterfingers says
haha i love her lip in that pic. i have a couple more of her looking totally disformed. i’ll be sure to bust those out soon.
Jordan @ food, sweat, and beers says
What a presh pup….
Best of luck with the big packup! Not a fun time, but mix in a bit of the Sadie Shake (newest dance groove) and you’ll get through it!

Smoothies are everywhere in the blog world today, it’s really making me crave one! Afternoon snack perhaps??
gabriella @ embracement says
I’m pretty much doing a similar thing as you guys, moving out next week putting all my stuff in storage moving home for a month and my lease doesn’t start back up til September. I despise packing so much I really just want to pay someone to do it for me
Sam @ Fat Girl at Heart says
Totally random but I must point out that the bottom tomato slice in your wrap looks like a squished face!
Anna says
The last two times I have moved I have waited until the last minute to pack. I knew once I started having piles of boxes around the place and things off the walls, it would no longer feel like home. I am moving in a few weeks but thankfully most of my belongings are still in storage 🙂 now I just have to go through my belongings in storage!
Lauren @ Sugar Coated Sisters says
good luck packing up everything…. just bust some jams through the house and try to have fun with it 🙂 you might uncover lots of goodies you forgot about.
my least favorite part is UNPACKING… that’s bad stuff.
Tiff @ Love, Sweat, and Beers says
I always have three-part breakfasts, but two-part lunches sound nice too!

Good luck with the moving — I actually enjoy packing, cleaning, sorting, etc — maybe make the decision to get Fro-Yo once you make some progress on packing?
Lisa @ Mrs. Fish says
My dog and I hate packing. Hate it. Maddie always cried and whined whenever my husband had to pack for his week long business trips.

Sadie is so cute! I often eat my lunch in phases too… it’s lunch and lunch, the sequel. 🙂 Have a good afternoon Julie!

Good luck packing! Packing and unpacking are the worst parts of moving. At least you are getting away from the mice and that is a great thing! 🙂
Love the color of the smoothie and of course the Sadie pictures 🙂
Parita @ myinnershakti says
I’ve moved so much in the past few years that it’s become second nature to me, but I have to say, I still the entire packing/unpacking process. Good luck…at least you have Ryan!

Sorry about the packing. I hate it too. I’m moving home to the States in about 3 weeks and I’m dreading having to pack up, throw out, and ship a bunch of my stuff. Ugh.

I just found your blog through Clean Eating Chelsea. I’ve been browsing your site, and I’m so glad I found it (I especially love the fashion 😉
One question: i saw you use a lot of chia seeds. I’ve seen these at health food stores. Why are they so great!?
Best,
Alysha

Woah! I didn’t realize til that last picture what HUGE ears Sadie has! I don’t think I’ve ever seen such large ears on a Vizsla! They are so cool! I love terrorizing my Vizsla by playing with his ears and I’m sure it’s just extra fun when they are that size. Those are like full on bat wings!
Amy @ Elephant Eats says
