It’s hard to believe that three years ago I had never even heard of a vizsla.
Now anytime I see one at the dog park or on a walk, I get really excited and love talking to vizsla owners and sharing stories about just how insane and amazing our dogs are.
When I put out a call to vizsla owners last week to submit pictures of their dogs to me, I received an influx of adorable pictures. I am so excited to share these pictures with you guys!
As I explained when I put out the call for picture submissions, YOU guys can vote on the dog you most adore. The winning dog owner will receive a sweet treat from me, and the winning pup will receive a little somethin’ somethin’ from Sadie.
To vote, simply note the number of the dog (not the dog’s name) that won your affection in the comments section of this post. Voting will be open until midnight tonight (Tuesday at 12 a.m. EST). I will tally the results and announce the winner on Tuesday.
Without further ado, let’s look at some adorable dogs!

Now it’s voting time!
Please vote using only the number of the dog (not the name) to make tallying easy on me!
For those of you who submitted pictures of your dogs that are not vizslas, I will be compiling a picture of your cute dogs to post very soon! Stay tuned. 😀
Also, if you are thinking about making a vizsla part of your family, please consider rescuing. There are many amazing vizsla rescue organizations located nationwide. Click here to find one near you!

Oh this is hard! 14 or 16? 14 or 16?!
Um…..14. Yeah, I’ll go with 14.
After reading about your Sadie, I looked up Vizslas on Wikipedia…..mostly because our mutt looks so much like your dog! We don’t know what she is though. She was just a rescue at a humane society, and they literally knew nothing about her. Even her age was approximate. So, in the Wiki description it mentions Velco dog. I sent it to my hubby, and he had to agree there’s a resemblance as in looks as well as behavior. I’ve been calling her Velcro dog for two weeks now. 🙂

How in the world did I miss this?! Tragic. I’m submitting my pic of Chambers anyway, since it is just too hilarious not to post.

Also, can I state that it is virtually impossible to pick just one picture of a Vizsla to share as “the cutest” – you have a tough job ahead of you!!

Daisy Dee (a vizsla mix), submitted by Stephanie – that’s the dog I recently adopted from KY. Could she be?
Marabeth says
Number 16. Last fall my son and his girl adopted a rescue in Brooklyn and they said she was from Kentucky, I think. The said she was a Catahoula. Now at 35 lbs and about 1.5-2 years old we see she is really a beautiful Vizsla, with some white on her chest and paws. Funny enough, my sister adopted from a Shelter as well, in Ohio. He dog is smaller, still young, but looks like she is a Vizsla as well. Same behavior, and leaping, bounding personality that curls up and sleeps/snuggles. I’d never heard of the breed before this. Who could have known? Pretty cool breed.
