I especially love lunch dates when the weather is gorgeous and you can enjoy your meal al fresco.
I met up with two of my former coworkers, Ryan and Ashley, at Caffé Ritazza in downtown Orlando. I enjoyed a yummy salad while we chatted away outside.
My salad included:
- Romaine
- Beets
- Carrots
- Celery
- Cucumber
- Mushrooms
- Broccoli
- Onion
- Salsa
Using salsa as a salad dressing is one of my favorite ways to kick a salad up a notch. Salsa brings a lot of moisture, flavor and yummy nutrients to the table.
When I got back to my desk at work, I snacked on a small baggie of pistachios I packed this morning.
Wedding Hair Piece
Okay you fashion-forward ladies! I need your help.
As you may remember from my post on my wedding day hair and makeup trial, I am planning on wearing a pink flower in my hair on my wedding day.
(The pink flower will replace the yellow one in the above picture.)
My veil will peek out underneath my up-do, just in case you were curious about how that will work. I am wearing this veil I had made by an Etsy designer and am anxiously awaiting its arrival. (It is due on my doorstep on October 22.)
Anyway, I am having some reservations about the pink flower I currently have to wear in my hair.
This is the pink flower I currently have:
I love it, but it’s a little big.
I am considering buying another option…
I think this one is gorgeous:
And this one appeals to me too:
Now I ask you…
Which pink flower hair piece do you like best? The first, second or third flower?
Alicia says
I really like option 3! I think that look will look great though no matter what flower you choose.
Heather (Heather's Dish) says
definitely number 1! holy cow, i just got nervous FOR you…it’s under 2 weeks! this is going to fly by 🙂
mallory says
No. 2 for sure!
Mama says
Number 2 ! Of course… 🙂
meredith says
Option 2! This one is more elegant looking, more fit for a wedding…you’re going to look beautiful no matter what!!!
Kelly says
I think it depends on the theme of your wedding. Number 1 is the most casual in my opinion, followed by number 3, with number 2 being the most formal. I like them all but it really depends on your dress and the event.
gabrielle says
Option 2 – elegant and pretty. It mixes white(bridal) with pretty pink!
Holly says
Totally out of the majority here, but I LOVE #3.
I like how the flower looks layered. So pretty!
I know ANY of the flowers that you choose will look GORGEOUS 😀
Chicago Cuisine Critique says
#2 definitely looks more bridal to me. You are veil is gorgeous by the way! Did I miss that on the blog before or was this the first post about it?
peanutbutterfingers says
nope! this was the first post about the veil. 🙂
Jessica @ How Sweet says
I really like the first 1!!
Lynn says
In this order:
Option 1!
2
3
That salad has my mouth watering!! Delicious =)
Stacy says
I must be weird because I like #3. LOL However, #2 looks like it is shipping from Australia. I don’t think I would risk that it might not get there in time for $64.
peanutbutterfingers says
yikes! i didn’t even see that!
Silvia says
Tough one! Which one looks better with your veil?
peanutbutterfingers says
i haven’t received my veil yet, so i’m not sure!
Laurie says
Option 2!!!! So pretty!
Laura says
Hey Julie! I’m a frequent reader, but no-so-frequent commenter. I love your blog! My vote is for option 2! 🙂
Steffi says
Option 2 of course!
Bonnie says
I’d go with the one you already have and put the extra funds toward a nice evening with Ryan down the line rather than one more expensive cost right before the wedding. That won’t make or break your day at ALL. No. 1 looks most like a real flower, too, and a nice touch, if you’re aiming for a flower.
Laura says
I think #2 or the one you already have 🙂
ashley says
I love option 2!
Jamie @ Food in Real Life says
This is tough Julie!! But I think option 2 is my fav. I like that there is cream and pink in the mix.
Amanda @Run4Ayden says
I love option 3! Option 2 is pretty, but it doesn’t look real at all. Have you thought about using a real one?
Anne says
#3 is my favorite, but I do like #2 a lot too – I think it would look really elegant. #3 would be a little more girly and whimsical.
Shareece says
I’d go with option #2! =)
Carla @ I Run, You Run says
Second one for sure!
Nikki says
Def number 2!
SaraRM says
I vote orginal.
gigi says
NUMBER TWO!
Arlene @ Adventures in Weight Loss says
I like the one you already have … but 2 would be an acceptable upgrade if you want to spend the money.
Cynthia says
They are all beautiful, but option 2 is the best! It’s so pretty.
Donna says
Option 2! The pearl beads gives extra romantic flare. And less material keeps the hair piece elegant.
Laura Fredlund says
Option two for sure!
Mehnaz says
Hi Julie, I’ve read your blog for a long time but only lurked till now.
I love both the first and second one. I am leaning towards the second one though – I could see you taking the second one and using your awesome craftiness and attaching it to a fetching woven hat to wear in the spring/summer – you’ll always have an awesome reminder of your wedding day with you:D
The first flower looks the most “real” because of the center – but with the edging on your veil, the petals might look too crinkly. I can’t wait to see your final photos after your wedding!
Andrea says
I like number 2!
Megan H says
I love option #2 but #1 is beautiful too!
Anna @ Newlywed, Newly Veg says
Haha…I’m going against the grain– options one and three are my favorite! But they’re all beautiful!
Bess @ Bess Be Fit says
I too am going against the consensus, I think option 2 is my least favorite…I think options 1 and 3 are the most light and carefree looking. Option 2 doesn’t look very “young” to me because I think it looks super formal compared to the others…but I have no idea what your dress or decorations are like so perhaps super formal is best! Whichever you chose you really can’t go wrong.
Katy says
Option 2 is my favorite! But they are all lovely and I don’t think you can go wrong with any of them!
You are going to be such a beautiful bride. 🙂
Lauren says
I would go with the second one, it looks the most elegant and soft and coordinates well with your shoes!
Heather says
number two, definitely! it has that classic modern vintage vibe that is amazing. [:
Kelley says
Option 2!!
Kailey says
Option 2 🙂
Rachelle says
Option 2!
A Canadian Foodie says
#2 seems to be the winner. I prefer it by far… BUT – no one will be comparing what you wear to anything. You will look gorgeous and you can probably work with the size of the flower and your long hair to diminish the size of #1. Use what you have and don’t spend another penny on something else you already have. The first flower is incredibly gorgeous and you hair will look lovely offside like that.
Only 2 weeks left.
🙂

Liz @ Tip Top Shape says
I’m not telling you anything new but #2 is my favorite 😀 And I somehow missed the post with the veil and it is absolutely gorgeous!
Katlyn says
Option 2!!! 🙂
Angie - My Life in Bites says
Have you considered using real flowers? My florist included a beautiful flower pin that matched my bouquet and it was such a lovely touch. I love the way it matched my flowers and I think it pulled everything together!
Linda says
All 3 are beautiful. I like 3 the best but the one you have is also gorgeous!
Kim says
Option 2!
oohhllyyhhoo says
What about a *real* flower? Order an extra with your bouquet’s, etc for the big day?
Sarah K. @ The Pajama Chef says
number 2!!
