We almost slept in until 8 a.m. this morning! (My college self wants to sock me in the face for thinking 8 a.m. is late.)
At around 7:40 a.m., Ryan and I started to stir and got out of bed after lying around for a while to start our weekend off right.
To the gym, we went!
Since yesterday was an unexpected rest day, I had a leg workout to make up.
After a 20-minute warm up on the elliptical, I got to work, completing the following exercises:
On our way home from the gym, we swung by the grocery store to pick up some food for the weekend, including the traditional New Year’s Day dinner fare.
Some black-eyed peas and collard greens will be cookin’ in our house tomorrow!
Breakfast
When we arrived home, I was more than ready for breakfast and quickly made myself an egg sandwich which I ate along with a small box of Cocoa Krispies.
The cereal was a total impulse buy at the grocery store. I saw a breakfast sampler pack and nabbed it, eating a mini box of Corn Pops on the drive home. I was bummed to see that the sampler pack included two boxes of Cocoa Krispies, Froot Loops and Frosted Flakes, but only one box of Corn Pops and Apple Jacks.
Corn Pops are the best! What were you thinking, Kellogg’s!?
Now I finally got around to blogging and am currently being fueled by an early-afternoon cup of peppermint crème coffee.
Time to take Sadie on a much-needed walk!

Have you ever tried The Bar Method? I work at one in Chicago and I love it. There is one in Orlando. If you haven’t tried it yet, you definitely should! Happy New Year 🙂

Corn Pops and Cocoa Puffs are my favorite cereals. I can’t even buy them because I will eat the whole box in a day, no joke. Why is it that cereal never fills you up?!
Thanks for the top workout posts!

oh wow I live under a rock! lol. I didn’t know people had “traditional” breakfasts 😀 and I don’t really buy corn pops anymore, but in the past I ate the whole box BY MYSELF!~that, and Quaker’s oatmeal squares Mmmm
Heidi @ Idlehide says
I love the treadmill workouts you have up. I also love the Anthropologie mug!

Corn Pops were definitely my favorite. I tend to find that when I buy variety packs there is always the least of my favorite part. Funny how that works.
Bethany @ Accidental Intentions says
I love those little boxes of cereal. They always make me think of vacation because we used to get those all the time in hotels when I was a wee one. I’ve also found that they make a PERFECT snack. I’m big on quantity, so granola bars, crackers, etc. often really disappoint me when I’m eating a snack, but if you eat one of those boxes of cereal they last foreverrrrrrr. And they’re already perfectly portioned! What more could you ask for?

I can’t wait to try the treadmill workouts! I used to beg my mom to buy me the sampler pack when I was younger. I loved the sugary cereals. FF are my fave but I never buy a box. Have a great NYE! 🙂

I loved those cereal mutlipacks when I was younger. I haven’t had them in ages though! I love that you can put the milk right in the little bag. I might have to pick some up now.
Jessica @ Sushi and Sit-Ups says
Corn Pops are my favorite too. No milk needed!

I love all of the workouts you post but I just can’t bring myself to do them in a gym. I feel like just an idiot standing there with my sheet of paper doing the moves. I’m usually more of a class girl…I need to get over it!
